Let’s say you hired an expert for $1,000 to launch your blog and spend 2 hours a month (at $100/hr.) to write a posts.

Your investment = $3,400/yr.

Your expert could setup your blog so that your posts automatically send via email to your permission-based list as soon as you published, and could help you to immediately post them on your social media networks using best practices to get the most engagement for your business.

Your expert could help you monthly to  design custom graphics  or use  professional pictures  so that your content is visually pleasing, keeping your readers coming back for more.

Additional investment = $2,400/yr.

Total Investment  = $6,000/yr.

If you launched in January, and wrote one post a month using this formula:

BLOG + EMAIL + SOCIAL MEDIA = BOOST YOUR BUSINESS

you would have invested $5,800 (rounding up to $6,000) by December, all of which is tax deductible. (Check with your CPA.)

Seems like a big investment doesn’t it?

The Power of Blogging

But, it means that you could:

  • market your products,

  • promote specials,

  • announce a new service,

  • promote an event, or

  • showcase your business expertise all in one place.

Whenever you handed out a business card or talked to someone on the phone, you could send them to your blog where you could showcase your knowledge, testimonials, or your portfolio . You’d be able to share your unique industry voice through the written word, videos, or pictures.

Your target market would be able to search the internet and find your articles. They could opt in to your content so you could maintain a relationship with them and establish yourself as an expert in your field. They would feel that they could pick up the phone to ask you for advice and because they trust you they would be a prime audience for your new services and products.

All this can happen right from your blog. Once the work is done, your blog can bring you new clients…passively.

Here are all the ways that your blog can boost your business. Your blog can:

1.   Build your brand, give brand visibility

2.   Sell services and products

3.   List testimonials

4.   Promote your portfolio

5.   Boost expert status via how-to style posts

6.   Showcase employees, customers, clients

7.   Increase Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

8.   Share videos (extra SEO via YouTube)

9.   Advertise your bio with current headshot

10. Expose the real, authentic YOU

All this for only $6,000 the first year you launched your blog.

One Client per Month

Still too much? Let me ask you this, if your blog attracted one new client per month, what would that be worth to you?

You’d have twelve fresh, new clients to amaze and possibly even new referrals from these original twelve.

Use Your Math Skills

Do the math with 12 new clients. What is the lifetime value of a new client? If you only make $500 over the lifetime of a new client (a very low estimate) you would break even year one. If just half of those new clients referred one person you would be ahead $3,000.

The choice is clear with a low investment for a high return. Leverage the power of blogging for YOUR business.

Instagram just launched Reels, Facebook's answer to Tiktok! I tested it out for the first time and well, I need more practice for sure! Or I needed more coffee. Surely I needed help in general. But after searching for the "audio" selection which offers music clips for your Reels I gave up. My business account, @sparqmarketing, doesn't yet have "audio". So I went over to the next best thing, my personal account @alisonstripling. Why do I have two accounts? So I don't spam you with all my pics of all my kids. You're welcome. Take a look at my first Reel! Have you tried it yet?
